Map colors are designated as a hex number. The format is 0xRC, where R = row, and C = column.
To indicate that mapcolor is not used, put a "-2" in place of mapcolor.
Blob files are what take on the mapcolor. The colors of the blobs (shapes) that show on the automap can be changed, using this chart as a guide. The blobs that can be configured are for items, objects, monsters, players, missiles and waypoints.
